New databases in trial access

From today you can use free trial access to three EBSCO databases: Art Source Ultimate, Petroleum Source and Mathematics Source.

The trial access lasts until July 3, 2026.

Thematic scope and content of databases

Art Source Ultimate is an extensive full-text database in the field of architecture and art intended for the needs of various users – architects, art researchers, artists and students. It covers a wide range of art-related topics, from architecture and architectural design to applied and commercial art. It contains the full texts of over 1,300 scientific journals, including over 900 active full-text journals, and 180 books, as well as detailed indexes and abstracts of leading scientific, popular science and industry publications. Many publications are available not only in English, but also in French, German, Italian, Spanish and Dutch.

The topics of the database include: architecture and history of architecture, interior design, green area design, industrial design, art and history of art, photography, graphics, contemporary art, archaeology, costume design, handicraft, applied art and folk art, art and film and television production, museology, painting, printing art, sculpture, fashion design, video materials and many others.

Petroleum Source is a database dedicated to energy and fuel research. Petroleum Source enables researchers to explore technological trends and issues in the world of petroleum products and their global impact. The database offers access to full-text journals, as well as documents beyond journals and magazines that cover the oil industry and related fields: 236 company profiles, 152 industry reports, 66 SWOT analyses, 100 e-books (companion collection). Topics include: alternative fuels and energy fuels, coal mining, gas, health, safety and environment, hydrocarbons, petroleum, pipelines, reservoir engineering, transportation and storage, well completion and servicing.

Mathematics Source

Mathematics Source is a full-text database of journals in mathematics and related fields. It provides access to over 800 continuously published full-text journals and a specialized mathematical thesaurus, supporting scientific research in many areas. The database covers dozens of topics, including algebra, calculus, trigonometry, logic, probability, and information theory.

In order to use the database go to: http://han.uksw.edu.pl/han/academic-search-ultimate-ebsco/, and type in full login data according to below examples:
  • „initial of name”.surname@uksw.edu.pl (ie. j.doe@uksw.edu.pl) or
  • name.surname@uksw.edu.pl (ie. john.doe@uksw.edu.pl) or
  • album(index)number@uksw.edu.pl (ie. 111111@uksw.edu.pl, P-11111@uksw.edu.pl etc.).

and password.

Then enter the one-time code from the authentication application installed on your smartphone.
