{"id":8781,"date":"2022-11-08T14:26:31","date_gmt":"2022-11-08T13:26:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biblioteka.uksw.edu.pl\/collections\/online-catalogue\/"},"modified":"2024-11-06T14:10:58","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T13:10:58","slug":"online-catalogue","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/biblioteka.uksw.edu.pl\/en\/collections\/online-catalogue\/","title":{"rendered":"Online Catalogue"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>At the beginning of December 2022 the Library of Cardinal Stefan Wyszy\u0144ski University in Warsaw (UKSW) has implemented the latest <em>Alma<\/em> library system and the <em>Primo<\/em> search tool, which provides quick access to print and electronic resources. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Primo<\/em> Search Engine<\/strong> is available at: <a href=\"https:\/\/katalog.biblioteka.uksw.edu.pl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/katalog.biblioteka.uksw.edu.pl<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Primo provides one-stop searching for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>UKSW Library catalogue<\/strong> &#8211; traditional (paper collections) and electronic resources (almost 40 subscription databases and over 280 free databases),<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Union catalogues of the National Library of Poland<\/strong> (a living database with new materials added every day, comprising over 25 million collection items).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"643\" height=\"121\" src=\"https:\/\/biblioteka.uksw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/06\/obraz.png\" alt=\"Primo Search engine\" class=\"wp-image-8783\" srcset=\"https:\/\/biblioteka.uksw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/06\/obraz.png 643w, https:\/\/biblioteka.uksw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/06\/obraz-300x56.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 643px) 100vw, 643px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several tabs in the top menu bar (above the search box) which gives quick access to additional search options.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>UKSW LIBRARY CATALOGUE &#8211; allows to return at any moment to the Library\u2019s Main Page and start a new search.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>JOURNAL SEARCH &#8211; leads to the catalogue of both print copies held by the library and journals subscribed to by UKSW that are available online as well as to the <em>open access<\/em> journals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>INDEX &#8211; displays the Browse Search tile, which includes a drop-down list for browsing Bibliographic headings of the following types: Tile, Author, Series, and Subject.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>E-RESOURCES &#8211; takes directly to a website listing all the full-text databases subscribed to by UKSW.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IIL REQUEST UKSW \u2013 (Interlibrary Loan) allows you to obtain information on the possibility of requesting materials from other libraries (across the country and from abroad). <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UKSW KNOWLEDGE BASE &#8211; leads directly to the University\u2019s system that collects and disseminates information about the publications of UKSW employees and doctoral students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Click &#8216;<strong>&#8230;<\/strong>&#8216; (the ellipsis character) to display the menu in full-screen mode with additional subpages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"643\" height=\"257\" src=\"https:\/\/biblioteka.uksw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/06\/obraz-1.png\" alt=\"Additional Primo menu\" class=\"wp-image-8786\" srcset=\"https:\/\/biblioteka.uksw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/06\/obraz-1.png 643w, https:\/\/biblioteka.uksw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/06\/obraz-1-300x120.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 643px) 100vw, 643px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>There are several elements, including:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"yui_3_17_2_1_1673871320432_24\">\n<li>SWW \u2013 a link to the website, where you can find detailed information about The Warsaw Reciprocal Borrowing Programme (BiblioWawa).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PURCHASE SUGGESTIONS &#8211; a link enabling users to make a purchase request for any title by filling in a blank Purchase Request Form.
